<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nA comedic live theatre adaptation of Hitchcock\u2019s \u201cThe 39 Steps,\u201d this fast-paced, action-packed romp set in the 1930s tells a story requiring sharp timing and lots of physical comedy: A classic Hitchcock leading man is swept into a wild case of espionage after a woman is murdered in his apartment.\r\n

\r\nThe cast features four actors playing multiple roles with multiple accents:\r\n
\r\n
\r\nRichard Hannay, 30 \u2013 40;<\/strong> a dashing, handsome, confident, and debonair upper-class Englishman who becomes increasingly frazzled. British accent required.\r\n
\r\n
\r\nFemale actor, 30-40;<\/strong> three roles:\r\n
\r\n
\r\nAnnabella Schmidt:<\/strong> A glamorous foreign spy who pulls Hannay into a conspiracy; intriguing, sultry and secretive. German accent required.\r\n
\r\n
\r\nPamela Edwards:<\/strong> Hannay\u2019s reluctant companion; initially distrustful and icy, evolves into a love interest. British accent required\r\n
\r\n
\r\nMargaret:<\/strong> Sweet and innocent Scottish farmer\u2019s wife; falls for Hannay and protects him from her jealous husband. Scottish accent required.\r\n
\r\n
\r\nClown 1,<\/strong> either gender. Age range flexible.\r\n
\r\n
\r\nClown 2,<\/strong> either gender. Age Range flexible.\r\n
\r\n
\r\nThe two clowns play all remaining 150 roles: villains, police officers, train conductors, salespeople, hotel clerks, women, men, etc. Must be able to switch characters quickly; broad physical comedy.\r\nStrong British (cockney and standard), Scottish and German accents required. \r\n
